Take Heart Foundation Draws Sold-Out Crowd of 250+ Supporters for Inaugural Premier Fundraiser

Howard Beach, NY — April 24, 2026

The Take Heart Foundation reached an important milestone on Friday evening, April 24, 2026, hosting its inaugural Premier Fundraiser Dinner at Roma View in Howard Beach, New York.

More than 250 guests including families, athletes, community leaders, and corporate partners came together for a sold-out evening filled with heart and hope, reflecting both the Foundation’s early momentum and its long-term commitment to advancing inclusive youth athletics across New York State.

The night’s star was Christina Faulkner, whose courage and dedication to inspiring young athletes with developmental disabilities drew sustained recognition from the room.

In a surprise tribute, New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone delivered a heartfelt video message honoring Christina’s courage and applauding the Foundation’s mission to expand opportunity for children of all abilities.

The room was deeply moved by a heartfelt speech from Take Heart President, and Co-founder Eric Faulkner, who paid tribute to his daughter Christina, his son Freddy, and his wife Graceann, Co-founder of the Take Heart Foundation. His words captured both the deeply personal roots and spirit of the organization, and left not a dry eye in the room.

The Foundation extended special thanks to its more than 250 supporters in attendance, community donors, as well as its Hall of Fame Corporate Sponsors: Academy of Aviation,Air Cargo Handling, InLine Aviation Group, Diesel Transportation, and Alpine Ready Mix. Their united and generous commitment helps fuel the Foundation’s emerging growth story and solidify its ability to make real and lasting impact.

At its core, the Take Heart Foundation champions programs that create access, confidence, and connection for children with developmental disabilities, with a focus on:

  • Inclusive Athletics — Team-based sports where children of all abilities play together

  • Mentorship — Role models who inspire confidence, resilience, and personal growth

  • Community — Events that bring families together through shared, meaningful experiences

The Foundation also proudly announced a new partnership with Hot Shots Basketball, expanding access to elite training, mentorship, and opportunities for young athletes—further advancing its mission to build inclusive pathways in sports.

“The overwhelming outpouring of support from our community is both humbling and energizing,” said the Take Heart Foundation. “It reinforces our mission and positions us to create real impact across the inclusive and adaptive athletic spectrum. While we are incredibly proud of what we’ve built together, the work is just beginning. We are excited about what lies ahead as well as the opportunity to make lasting change in the lives of young athletes and their families.”

With momentum building, the Foundation has already set its sights on its next major event this fall. Supporters are encouraged to stay tuned for upcoming announcements and developments via the Foundation’s website and social media channels.
